MAHARASHTRA SMALL SCALE INDUSTRIES DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (MSSIDC)

The Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation Ltd. (MSSIDC), a Government of Maharashtra undertaking established on 19th October 1962 under the Companies Act, 1956, functions under the Industries Department with the primary mandate of supporting and promoting small-scale industries across the state. With 99.31% government shareholding, MSSIDC provides capital, credit, technical and managerial assistance, as well as marketing support to small enterprises, while also playing a vital role in preserving and promoting Maharashtra’s traditional handicrafts. Through its handicraft emporia in Mumbai, Paithan, and Delhi, and initiatives such as the Paithani Saree Weaving Centre at Paithan, the Corporation continues to empower artisans, facilitate market access, and contribute to the growth and revival of small industries and crafts in Maharashtra.
