Directorate of Industries
The Directorate of Industries, Government of Maharashtra, serves as the executive arm of the Industries Department, responsible for implementing policies and schemes to drive industrial growth across the State. Working in close coordination with agencies such as MIDC, MSSIDC, and KVIB, the Directorate not only monitors and administers key incentive schemes—including the flagship Package Scheme of Incentives—but also supports the Government in framing industrial, SEZ, IT, and sectoral policies. With six Regional Offices, a Sub-Regional Office at Nanded, and District Industries Centres (DICs) in every district, the Directorate ensures decentralized, efficient delivery of services and effective promotion of industries at the grassroots level.
